Costa Rica cherishes a puravida lifestyle incorporating blissful appreciation and easy going living. Its common to walk by a stranger who reaches out with the friendly greeing of puravida, puravida.Who would have known how life would evolve for this author in terms of interpreting just what that meant. Its so easy to be misled by the forbidden fruits that have their own deciduous poisons of addiction built in to believing, that is the good life.

All of us who follow the path to alcohol abuse learn one way or another some day that its the wrong path. In the worst case scenarios, disease, death and devastating loss are the eventual final lessons and for those of us who can be grateful earlier enlightenment, we get it earlier, life without the booze is infinitely better.

So what’s the original lure? Why does puravida insinuate in its nature including alcohol and other drugs? Its all about the freedom!!! That’s what we have learned anyways. Perhaps one of the greatest values of a way of life and the essence of puravida is made up in freedom. Freedom of movement, of health, of enjoying life, passions, sensuality, perception, charity, love, food, sunsets, swims, our entire sensory capacity and our intellectual capacity to help and respect all other life. We can easily at the start find drugs as an escape portal we believe is enhancing our freedoms for all of these things when ironically, in a terrible way, it is taking all of these things away from us, imprisoning us and destroying our freedom.

So rejoice every moment of your life without alcohol and celebrate a life in full capacity to be free as best you can. Life with truth, integrity, compassion and love.
